Lesson #1: Empty Comfort

If you meet me in the dark I might break your heart.
Tear the pieces up that the last guy left.
You came at a bad time and it’s not my fault it’s yours.
All your self-doubt, uncertainty, emptiness. I’ll absorb.
I’ll create a false paradise where you can rest your head.
Through the door of my apartment, straight to my bed.
I’ll fill you up with comfort and whisper to you lies.
Make you question yourself as you lie by my side.
You can’t sleep though our acts have left you drained.
Searching for your sanity as you attempt to maintain.
Was it your choice or did you just follow without question.
This is the first time, so I doubt you’ve learned your lesson.
